Geology Explorers
Don’t miss this hands-on science workshop. Be a geologist and experiment with rocks and minerals from the earth. Go on a rock hunt and learn how rocks and minerals have been useful to science, industry and early man.
Physics Explorer
This fun workshop investigates properties of optics, momentum, magnetism, sound, balance, inertia, water and air pressure, and energy. Make sonic toys to take home that will entertain and amaze your friends and family.
Chemistry Explorers
Put on your goggles and lets get messy! We’ll be making batches of outrageous ooze and super slime and performing unusual experiments with gases, food, and water. Stretchy polymers, plated metals and bubbles galore. Be sure to wear an old shirt. Safety goggles provided.
Electricity Explorers
This electrifying new workshop uses lots of hands-on safe experiments to explain electricity and its applications. Static electricity, piezzo-electric rocks, circuitry, electroscopes, bending water, and magnetism are a few of the topics covered. Goggles will be provided.
Ocean Explorers
Watch out for the shark as we tour the levels of the ocean and discover how the ocean is changing and affecting our lives. Dissect a fish (optional), examine fossils and shells use a microscope and have fun learning about the secrets of the ocean floor.
Crime Scene Explorers
Whodunit? Help identify the perpetrators of a crime by lifting fingerprints, analyzing DNA, taking pH measurements, using a microscope , examining bones, and using other scientific methods like real criminologists. Bring a friend and double the fun!
Space Explorers
This new workshop investigates phenomenon beyond the Earth’s limits. Learn about the Earth’s moon, the Sun and its planets, stars and galaxies of the Universe. Hands-on activities are included.
