Rose Cottage Needle Point Studio - Where each stich is a joy! Join us for our summer camps for youth ages 10-16: Beading Techniques, Intro to Needlepoint, Intermediate Needlepoint, and Needle Art Sampler!

Rose Cottage Needle Point Studio is located at 126 S. State Street, Newtown, PA.

Beading Techniques (ages 10-16)
This week long camp will cover basic stringing and finishing techniques, needle weaving jewelry, and basic wire wrapping. Campers will make a bracelet, illusion necklace, daisy chain anklet, and earrings or an additional bracelet. We supply the materials and fun and you supply the eager camper(s)!

Introduction to Needlepoint (ages 10-16)
This camp will focus solely on needlepoint. Campers will learn how to do begin and end a stitch, and learn the basic continental stitch. Each participant will choose a kit that includes a painted needlepoint canvas, stretcher bars, fibers, needle and all that is required to make a very special first project. Register early and learn a fabulous needle art!

Intermediate Needlepoint Geometric (ages 10-16)
Campers will learn a variety of fancy stitches like Hungarian, balloon, and MANY more. A beautiful geometric will be made that will be suitable for finishing as a pillow top or for framing. This is a great camp for those who like to concentrate on one topic and learn it thoroughly. Campers will be encouraged to make choices about fibers and colors. Everyone will leave with their own unique version of the design and the confidence to keep on stitching.

Needle Arts Sampler (ages 10-16)
If your child likes trying something new and different, then this is the camp for her/him. We will teach a different needle art technique during the week, including needlepoint, cross stitch and Bargello. Campers will go home with several finished projects, new skills for future projects, and a thirst for more!
