Gardening for Life: Monarch Butterfly
If you’ve been missing monarchs recently, a large part of the problem can be blamed on the crashing butterfly population. Gardening for Life: Raising Monarch Butterflies
You can help monarchs and other butterflies by planting host plants in a garden and leaving it all to nature -- or you can bring the eggs and caterpillars indoors to raise them to butterflies, and release them when they emerge. By doing so you are making a positive step toward increasing the number of monarchs in nature – and they certainly need our help with all the extra challenges they face due to human influences! Come to this class to learn how easy it is to raise these magnificent monarchs from someone who has been doing just that over the last 7 years right here in Newtown Township!
