Culinary Herbs in the Garden, Kitchen, and Medicine Chest

This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

Culinary herbs, grown close to the home and stored in the kitchen cabinet, are a group of herbs so intrinsic to daily life that they have been absorbed into cultural cuisines across the world.  Explore the customs, folklore, growing habits, and medicinal uses of common and uncommon culinary herbs across cultures and continents.  Learn about traditions surrounding your favorite garden varieties, and expand your palette with new herbs that stimulate the senses!

Presented by The Bucks County Foodshed Alliance (BCFA), in cooperation with Bucks County Buy Fresh Buy Local, Doylestown Food Co-op and Newtown Township Parks & Recreation. Lindsay Napolitano of Fields without Fences, a certified organic farm in Frenchtown, New Jersey, will deliver the program.
