7:00 PM - 7:45 PM    Acrylic Pouring (Ages 7 to Adult) - Acrylic Pouring - Ocean
Acrylic paint pouring is a form of abstract painting using fluid acrylic paints. You don’t apply the paint with a brush but use gravity to move the paint by pouring, puddling, and dripping onto your canvas. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to spark your creative energy! DRESS FOR A MESS! Acrylic paint does stain, so please dress accordingly.* Ages 7 - 10 must be accompanied by an adult.Materials Fee: A $10 materials fee is due to the instructor at the beginning of class.Paintings will remain at the Parks and Recreation Building in order to dry. They can be picked up the week after class.

Children are guided, by the instructors, through a process where they play theatre games, create a story, and work together to make that story into a working theatrical production. The participants create their own character, plot, props, costumes, title, and everything else that's needed to make the production complete. You get to play the part you have always dreamed of! Something wonderful right away!  This class exposes students to the rules of improv (listening, saying yes, etc.) through games.  We work on building confidence with coming up with ideas off the top of our heads. A lot of our games are just like the ones from the TV show “Whose Line is it Anyway?”  The final performance is made up of the games we liked the most, completely made up in the moment with suggestions from the audience.

This is a hands-on class. Learn how to make your own lotion from scratch. Learn the importance of good manufacturing practices and temperature control.  Learn how to choose oils and butters for your skin type, why to use a preservative, how to scent with fragrant oils or essential oils as a matter of preference and proper labeling even when not selling. You will learn: Posture assessments; Simple tips for improving posture, reducing stress, and integrating movement into your workday; Wisdom of ancient postures; Physiology of hunched posture; Hunched posture and its burden on emotions. Take a Deep Breath for PostureThis fun and interactive empowerment workshop will look at how improving breathing can impact your posture and health. We will review breathing mechanisms and exercises. Together we’ll learn how simple changes can lead to successful outcomes. Sitting at a desk or computer all day takes a toll on more than just your eyes. It affects your posture, metabolism, risk of anxiety or depression and can lead to obesity, just to name a few . . .Aesha’s approach to Yoga is an effective training to counter the effects of habitual slumping and spinal compression. In this training we will strengthen the spine, pelvic floor and abdominals, while stretching the tight muscles which lead to a hunched posture. This training will offer simple and practical asanas (poses) for every fitness level. This specialized Yoga program is a fantastic way to combat the negative effects of sitting at a desk all day. Join our Infant Feeding Support Group led by Certified Breastfeeding Counselor, Jessica Zonkle and Melissa Hunt, RN, IBCLC of Lucky Baby Lactation + Infant Feeding. This group provides a non-judgemental, safe and nurturing environment for parents to come together and receive valuable support and guidance on their infant feeding journey.  During the meetings, parents will have the opportunity to connect with other parents who are going through similar experiences. Our facilitators will offer expert advice and tips. We will have a neonatal scale available at meetings for weight checks and measuring transfer at the breast. Our facilitators will be on hand to interpret the measurements and provide personalized recommendations. Ample time will be provided for parent-to-parent support and open discussions. Whether you are a first-time or seasoned parent our Infant Feeding Support Group is here to provide the knowledge, encouragement, and support you need to navigate your feeding journey with confidence. Have fun with friends while going to theme parks, arcades, movies and much more! This active camp is Monday through Thursday or Friday, and goes on 2-3 off site trips per week. Two camp shirts are provided with registration. Registration includes all trips. Free pizza lunch will be offered on Friday's this summer. IMPORTANT: A lot of off site trips do not allow outside food in, so please send your camper with money on those trip days (usually amusement parks).  Parents will be notified when this is needed. Join our Infant Feeding Support Group led by Certified Breastfeeding Counselor, Jessica Zonkle and Melissa Hunt, RN, IBCLC of Lucky Baby Lactation + Infant Feeding. This group provides a non-judgemental, safe and nurturing environment for parents to come together and receive valuable support and guidance on their infant feeding journey.  During the meetings, parents will have the opportunity to connect with other parents who are going through similar experiences. Our facilitators will offer expert advice and tips. We will have a neonatal scale available at meetings for weight checks and measuring transfer at the breast. Our facilitators will be on hand to interpret the measurements and provide personalized recommendations. Ample time will be provided for parent-to-parent support and open discussions. Whether you are a first-time or seasoned parent our Infant Feeding Support Group is here to provide the knowledge, encouragement, and support you need to navigate your feeding journey with confidence. Come investigate whales, fish, octopus, seashells and more. Perform several different experiments with your family to discover the wonders of what’s Under the Sea.     Slithery Slime: Creating Polymers to Better Understand Animals! (ages 6-12)Through the art and fun of making your own batch of slime, learn more about a group of animals known as herps! Herps, or reptiles and amphibians, have a lot in common with the polymer of slime. During this class, we'll have some fun with slime while discovering more about toads, snakes, and turtles, what an ectotherm is, how temperature impacts both ectotherms and slime, and how to protect these incredible species!The 5 R's: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Refuse, Rot - A focus on Sustainability, the importance of Managing Waste, and Understanding How Recycling WorksWe've heard of the 3 R's, but now, let's add two more equally as important R's to the list! During this class, we'll discuss the importance of sustainability and some ins-and-outs of the recycling process in order to make a more significant impact on our ecosystems. Participants will get to learn more about composting, up-cycling, and other creative ways to reduce landfill waste at home. During this class, participants will also be able to take a step on their sustainable-lifestyle journey by creating our own Reusable Bag Holder, perfect for reducing their single-use bag consumption.The Great Pumpkin (ages 6-12) Come and experience the “Great Pumpkin”. Learn about the fruit and the parts of the plants through a pumpkin dissection. Guess the weight of the locally grown pumpkins. Discover how pumpkins can roll and participate in a race. Build a catapult using a pumpkin to launch candy corn.

Get UnhunchedThis fun, interactive and hands-on workshop explores the impact of sedentary lifestyle and hunched over posture on our physical and emotional health. In this presentation Aesha will share her personal journey dealing with chronic lower back pain and her BRACE model to correct posture. No equipment required! You will learn: Posture assessments; Simple tips for improving posture, reducing stress, and integrating movement into your workday; Wisdom of ancient postures; Physiology of hunched posture; Hunched posture and its burden on emotions. Take a Deep Breath for PostureThis fun and interactive empowerment workshop will look at how improving breathing can impact your posture and health. We will review breathing mechanisms and exercises. Together we’ll learn how simple changes can lead to successful outcomes. Please bring a yoga mat. Unhunched Upper Body RxIn this fun and interactive empowerment workshop we will look at how sitting impacts our upper body posture and health.  We will learn about rounded shoulder and forward head posture. We will practice Aesha’s special posture correcting exercises. Together with these simple exercises we will have open posture and pain free movement. Please bring a yoga mat and resistance band. Unhunched Core RxIn this fun and interactive empowerment workshop we will look at how sitting impacts our core; which is at the center of it all. Sitting at a desk or computer all day takes a toll on more than just your eyes. It affects your posture, metabolism, risk of anxiety or depression and can lead to obesity, just to name a few . . .Aesha’s approach to Yoga is an effective training to counter the effects of habitual slumping and spinal compression. In this training we will strengthen the spine, pelvic floor and abdominals, while stretching the tight muscles which lead to a hunched posture. This training will offer simple and practical asanas (poses) for every fitness level. This specialized Yoga program is a fantastic way to combat the negative effects of sitting at a desk all day.
